Fine Pewter
Fine pewter is at least 88% tin, alloyed with antimony, copper and zinc. Fine pewter will tarnish with time. It can be polished occasionally with a commercial polish available in most markets and hardware stores. Pewter is a relatively soft metal, and can be filed with a nail file.
Brass-Colored Pewter
These knobs are pewter based, and have been brass-colored and then lacquered to be tarnish resistant. Do not clean with harsh chemicals or abrasives. They can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
