Zeus, the supreme deity of the ancient Greeks is sculpted as a heroic male figure seated on a stone plinth with a lion and lioness crouching at his feet. His warriors' shield with the sculpted head of the Gorgon Medusa rests against the stone. He holds a staff bearing an eagle in his right hand and a tiny statue of the goddess of Victory in his left hand. back to gallery
