Glass: Tiger Bowl 16"

This 16" fused glass Tiger Bowl is an original work of art. Gayle may make a similar design but each hand cut and fused work of art is unique. Gayle draws the original design and then painstakingly reworks her drawings until the design will work in fused glass form. She cuts and assembles pieces of glass to form into a mosaic of her design and then fully fuses the glass. Next she adds layers of glass (specifically, the bamboo stems and leaves) and tack fuses them on to the design to create depth and texture in the bowl. Finally the glass is slumped into a bowl form. It took approximately 36 hours to cut, grind to fit and assemble the glass for fusing. This piece is all fused glass without glass paints. Call for shipping quote regular rates do not apply.
